This project is a 128,652 sf 2-level subterranean and 4-level parking garage with a 97,665 sf 5-story medical office and restaurant. Structural engineering for this project was reviewed by Fawwaz Ghabra, and building, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical by Raymond Tao. During the review, the occupant load exiting and risk category issues were resolved with the design team by partitioning out different uses of the first floor restaurant area. The complex concrete and steel moment frame structure along with the multiple fire ratings required proved challenging to ensure that they meet the Building Code.
