CITYWIDE STRIPING PLANS – HARRISON, CAMBRIDGE, FIRST, AND BASE LINE
City of Claremont
Completion Date: 2021

RKA Consulting Group was selected by the City of Claremont to provide engineering design services for updated roadway striping plans across multiple corridors. The project focused on improving roadway safety, visibility, and regulatory compliance at key residential and collector street segments throughout the city.

The striping plans were developed for the following corridors:
  • Harrison Avenue (from Indian Hill Boulevard to Harvard Avenue)
  • Cambridge Avenue (from Arrow Highway to Bonita Avenue)
  • First Street (from Cornell Avenue to Indian Hill Boulevard)
  • Base Line Road (from 100 feet west of Monte Vista Avenue to the I-210 bridge)
RKA’s scope included detailed field measurements, review of available as-built drawings, and use of aerial imagery to confirm existing roadway conditions. Plans were created to reflect current CA MUTCD standards and tailored to the city’s long-term pavement preservation and safety goals.

All services were provided on a time-and-materials basis for a not-to-exceed fee of $9,000, and the project was delivered on time and within budget. RKA’s efficient approach and responsive coordination with City staff ensured the successful production of precise and practical striping plans ready for implementation.
